Warm Hospitality and Personalized Walks in Varzi

Jim and Lynette are such excellent hosts. We felt we were part of their family as they introduced us to their friends and contacts in and around Varzi. They were so considerate during our walks, attending to each personal preference or need and ensuring all were able to gain full enjoyment from the landscape, the terrain and the villages we entered. And the food! Fresh, local and prepared and presented with care, it more-than-satisfied the eyes, the palate and the appetites we worked up during our daily hikes. We highly commend this as an outstanding experience and a wonderful holiday.

Great Organisation, Amazing Food, and Challenging Walks

Organisation was great; food was amazing; walks were varied and, for me, challenging at times (but it’s good to be challenged); we were introduced to beautiful scenery and memorable villages and towns; Varzi was a perfect base; company was always enjoyable. Authentic Italy Off the Beaten Path

I had a wonderful holiday. Off the busy tourist trail, getting to see a small slice of the real Italy - a rustic dairy with a lovely homecooked lunch, boutique wineries, walking trails through picturesque rolling hills, historic churches and monasteries. Jim and Lynette were enthusiastic and knowledgeable hosts. Thanks very much, it was a great time!

Stunning Walks and Thoughtful Keepsakes

A fantastic tour with Jim and Lynette in Italy. The walks with Lynette were beautiful, the food was superb, Jim’s support in the van was invaluable. We really enjoyed the variety of locations,

the walking, the food and the aperitivos. Lynette also created an amazing photo album of our experience. I’d recommend joining Jim and Lynette on one of their tours!

A Tour Full of Conviviality and Local Delights

Only one word to describe this fabulous small group walking and tasting tour - Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

The tour provided the right balance between group activities and private time. Great varied walking along country roads and through green forests. Wonderful scenery, lots of conviviality, well organized, and good company. The local food and wine were amazing, certainly, nothing we could have organized ourselves. Jim and Lynette are gracious hosts, generous, informed, and helpful to non-Italian speakers. I would highly recommend this tour which provides an in-depth experience of regional Lombardy.

A Birthday Tour Made Extra Special

Jim and Lynette from Italian Delights Tours are wonderful hosts - I arranged a private tour with them for my birthday and they were very accommodating including little extras like arranging a very special birthday cake at one of the lunch stops. They are great conversationalists with lots of knowledge to share about their area of Italy. Highly recommend them to anyone wishing to visit Italy.

A Solo Traveler’s Authentic Italian Experience

Hi Jim and Lynette.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for the Southern Delights Tour! It would have to be one of the most authentic Italian experiences I have ever had! Greg and Silvia were the perfect hosts and made it very easy for us to appreciate the hospitality of the whole family so well. Greg was able to give us such a valuable insight to the difficulties of learning to live in Italy and to speak the language, but it is clear that he loves it and that the challenges to overcome the obstacles have been worth it. Silvia is the perfect example of a modern thinking Italian while always respecting and understanding the traditional values of the family. The whole family were so welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel like we were part of the family. We were all so sad when it came time to say goodbye.

We were overwhelmed by the wonderful food, and the quantity! With Greg and Silvia’s help, we were able to navigate how to get less food served at meals so that we wouldn’t feel bad about having to leave some! The outcome felt like a win/win for everyone! The places that we were taken to were special and we know that not many tourists would get to see some of the places that we went to. It really felt like we were the only tourists in some of the places we visited and that’s very special!

Being a solo traveller was no problem at all as the three couples on the tour were very inclusive. I hope that I can join you on one of your other tours at some time in the future.
